In fine mood I have come to theatre to prepare for performance and suddenly the news which has sounded for me like a bolt from the blue - I learn that "Tenderness" in a concert will sing M.Kristalinsky, and me will let out from songs "Evening of a waltz". Why so? It is possible to guess only, after all then it was not accepted to report to actors. I know, truth that Kristalinsky was rather amicable with Pahmutova and probably, all happens not unaided Aleksandry Nikolaevny. But my God, at me after all have selected a song from which I became the winner! To whom as not to me and to sing it in gala concert? It was the cruel, undeserved slap in the face. I have burst out crying and have escaped in the big make-up room, and there sat... Arcady Raikin (The great Soviet comedian)too was in this room, because in the afternoon in theatre took place its solo concerts, and it remained on gala concert. I cried, sitting at a table, and it has approached, has stroked me on a head and has told: "It only the first big injustice in your life, and how many they still will be... But you should be a rack". There lived in Kishinev the little girl, learnt to play a violin at musical boarding school... Also sang. However, in the spring in Moldova it is necessary to sing, especially, if to you fifteen years. That day she sang national songs on the Open-air theatre scene where arrived on tour to Kishinev the well-known ensemble "Friendship" in the evening should act. It was casually heard by the head of ensemble Alexander Bronevitsky possessing remarkable ability to distinguish talents. After a concert it has approached to it: - You want to work in "Friendship"? - Whom? - The girl has not understood, - to iron suits? The Bronevitsky has burst out laughing, - Give something sing, and we will accompany, - he has told. Maria has started singing "Farewell, the seaman!" Domeniko Moduno, then some the Romanian songs. - It is necessary, - was surprised Bronevitsky, - at it the manner. Maria was engaged in a variety vocal at the well-known teacher Liny Borisovny Arkhangelsk, and in parallel she was engaged in a classical vocal at Genrietty Vladimirovny Apter who has developed a voice of the schoolgirl to three and a half octaves and it became such strong and sonorous that when Maria warmed up, in the next classes could not be engaged. When Kodrjanu already studied on the fourth year, she was invited in the Maryinsky Theater to Natasha Rostovoj's role in Sergey Prokofiev's opera "War and peace", and also for a role of Belosnezhki in an opera "by Belosnezhka and seven gnomes". Unfortunately, these works have not been finished, because Maria has moved from Leningrad to Kishinev where has created the collective and at the age of twenty years began to act with solo concerts. Naturally, dense tour schedules excluded any possibility to test in any other area, and not only in an opera, but also in a cinema where Maria received invitations for shootings, for example, for a role of the younger daughter of king Lir, for a role of the singer in a feature film "Brilliants for proletariat dictatorship", but nedjuzhennye actor's abilities Maria to the full used the on a scene, in the brilliant solo performances. In a minute she had control over the telegramme from Central Committee LKSM of Moldova in which it was recommended to take off urgently for Moscow, in the culture Ministry. The deputy minister has met her in the office words: - The child, you will go to Sopot, instead of Lev Leshchenko, you will sing "the Ballad about paints". Maria was struck dumb, - And I am possible I will accustom to drinking something another, familiar, from the repertoire? After all to time for preparation only two weeks remains, Leshchenko - that rehearses already whole year, six arrangements has replaced - Maria has tried to object. - I do not advise, the child to argue. Sing that speak.... The first ten-minute rehearsal with full structure of an orchestra of Codrianu have arranged only already in Sopot... And in Moscow rehearsed a little under! A bayan!, yes on a summer residence to Oscar Feltsmanu Maria carried, where rehearsed under a grand piano. There, during one of rehearsals, Maria has demanded to change at a song the ending which was also short, and at once loud and "shouting", - well mother cannot, - Maria to Feltsman convinced, - having seen live, but grey-haired sons, at once to "cry,"begin to yell", on the contrary, she will freeze, will stand, to it the throat will intercept for horror. Feltsman so Maria's this find has shaken that at it in the face of tears have acted. Arrangement was ready only to flying away, notes have brought directly to a plane gangway. The reason for that is banal, but for those times rather obydenna, - is simple...
